Wildlife

Here we share the photos we capture of our local wildlife. If you have any contributions of your own photos taken in Down East Maine and want to share, e-mail me at tobey@downeastwildlife.com. As you will know it's pretty exciting if you are sitting watching TV or playing bingo www.foxybingo.com and you look out the window and see a bear! That is just one of the reasons I love nature because it is so surprising and beautiful at the same time. Hope you enjoy the pictures, and yes, we will get a moose up soon!

This friendly young Black Bear came to visit the birdfeeder at my parents' house last Spring. He sure is a cutie!

This is a Herring Gull, waiting for some hot dogs at Rosie's in Eastport.

Check out this Gray Tree Frog that popped in for a visit! I just love frogs and hope to meet some more this year! Click here for some more shots I got of this little frog.

These are Field Mouse tracks across the first snow of the winter in 2008, late November.
