Various Bays, Inlets & Other Ocean Shots
This page is where we put the shots of ocean that don't belong in the other categories. Since there is so much shoreline on Maine's coast, it's hard to fit it all into one page! This page will be growing all the time. Suggestions are welcome!
Taken in early December of 2007 on Route 191 in East Machias overlooking a very frozen inlet. The tide is high and so is the sea smoke!
A typical summer's day in Maine, this photo was taken in Cutler in a spot called Little Machias, overlooking the ocean. When the wind is high, there's some great wave action against those rocks in the distance.
This is at the same spot, but with the house in the picture. This house was built in the early 1800s and is largely original, and what a view! One can only imagine the original inhabitants.
An early winter sunset overlooking an inlet near Pleasant Point. The sky was pink and the water matched it perfectly, mirror calm.
East Machias on Route 191, this was taken at the same spot as the iced over photo at the top of the page. This was a spring tide that covered the marshes and crept up towards the road!
