Apple Tree Blossoms
Apple trees are everywhere in Maine. In times past, orchards covered many acres of land in Down East Maine. Many of the trees remain, swallowed up by the forest or brush that grew up around them, reminders of the past. They are ancient, gnarly trees that still bear fruit every Fall. In the Spring, their blossoms light up the landscape! Here are some shots of one particular tree at various stages last Spring.
